!!!!!SOLD!!!!! I found a magazine, not shown, which will be included with this project. It is the standard de la Garrigue solid block of steel magazine usually found on these. This is a 1/2 scale M-1 Thompson by the legendary Edmund de la Garrigue. 16″ long overall with a 5 1/4″ rifled barrel of .25 caliber. Parkerized steel finish. Oil finished walnut stocks. This is a non-firing model. Some of these were registered class III fully automatic firing weapons. The bolt face is flat, and there is no chamber cut into the barrel, no extractor, and no ejector. The magazine and magazine release spring are missing, as well as the screws that secure the buttstock to the lower receiver. The magazines on these non-firing models were a solid block of steel shaped like a magazine. The sides of the receiver properly and deeply roll stamped. There is a piece missing from the buttstock where it meets with the receiver at the right rear top, and another piece missing from the buttstock at the toe of the buttplate. Except for the missing parts and broken buttstock, the balance of the miniature is in good condition. The action and safety are functional. If you have the skills to make the missing parts, this would be worth about $1,500.00 repaired. There are a lot of stories about Mr. de la Garrigue, but he is most famously known as the inventor of the Grizzly single action army revolver. There is an out of print book about Mr. de la Garrigue called “Artistry in Single Action” by Halton Henderson. Only 450 copies were printed, so they are very rare, expensive, and difficult to find. The book documents these miniature Thompsons as well as several other miniatures made by Mr. de la Garrigue. Sold “AS_IS, no returns. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
