Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/2 scale miniature 1928 A1 Thompson sub-machine gun made by the legendary Edmund de la Garrigue.  17″ long overall, the rifled barrel measuring 6 1/2″ long including the Cutts compensator.  Most of the miniature is a Parkerized finish, including the upper & lower receivers, finned barrel, Cutts compensator, front & rear sights, and magazine halves.  The cocking handle, fire controls, stock fitting, magazine winding key, & buttplate are a high polished blue.  This piece has the correct markings roll stamped into the sides of the receiver along with Mr. de la Garrigue’s maker’s mark on the right side of the upper receiver.  Serial # 2028 marked on the left side of the upper receiver. Straight grained walnut stock, pistol grip, and vertical pistol grip with an oil finish, the buttstock with a little figure.  Includes a 50 round “L” type drum magazine which is Parkerized. Typical of de la Garrigue Thompsons with drum magazines, this one does not have the feed star, spring, or cartridge feed rails.  Like most de la Garrigue Thompsons, this one doesn’t have the magazine release return spring.  Detachable buttstock.  The Cutts compensator, with the front sight pinned to the top rear. The rear sight is the M-1 type.  There is a sling swivel on the buttstock, but no corresponding sling swivel on the vertical fore grip.  The piece shows some small nicks & scratches & some barely noticeable small spots of surface rust, but still shows 98% of the original finish.   This is the first one of these I’ve been able to offer for sale in about three years.  Stock # BK-23.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
