Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/2 scale miniature 1921 AC Thompson sub-machine gun made by the legendary Edmund de la Garrigue.  17″ long overall, the rifled barrel measures 6 1/2″ long including the Cutts compensator.  Beautiful high polish blue finish.  This piece has the correct markings roll stamped into the sides of the receiver along with Mr. de la Garrigue’s maker’s mark on the right side of the upper receiver.  Serial # 2027 marked on the left side of the upper receiver.  Fancy figured walnut stock, pistol grip, and vertical pistol grip with an oil finish.  Includes a 50 round “L” type drum magazine with a high polished blue finish.  The drum is complete with the internal feed star, but typical of de la Garrigue Thompsons with drum magazines, does not have the spring or cartridge feed guide rails. Unlike most de la Garrigue Thompsons, this one DOES have the magazine release return spring!  Detachable buttstock.  The Cutts compensator with front sight pinned to the top rear.  Also typical of de la Garrigue 1921 Thompsons, the rear sight base is present, but the ladder & windage parts are missing.  The piece is near mint & shows 99+% of the original finish except the magazine release has turned a plum color.   Stock # RC-53.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
