!!!!!SOLD!!!!! Doug Furr 1/2 Scale 1874 Carriage Gatling Gun, .22 Long Rifle, Serial # 15 !!!!!SOLD!!!!!

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/2 scale 1874 carriage Gatling gun made by Doug Furr in Orem, Utah in 1974.  Please excuse the outdoor photos, but this piece was just way to big to fit on my photo table, & would have been impossible to get the lighting correct with my current set-up.  Doug is the son of Karl Furr, & the brother to Keith Furr, who together made hundreds of 1/3 scale miniature Gatling guns in four different models.  Doug & his wife Korine made the 1/6, 1/2, & 3/4 scale Gatlings.  One of only 15 of these that were ever made, this being the last one.  44″ long overall X 31″ wide X 25 1/4″ tall.  The gun itself is 24 5/8″ long overall with ten 15 7/16″ .22 caliber rifled barrels.  The barrels are nicely blued, and the muzzle ends are hexagon shaped to fit a wrench for installing & regulating the barrels to point of aim.  Brass, steel, & walnut construction.  The brass was polished, the steel parts beautifully polished & blued, and the walnut varnished.  Fully functional & firing the .22 long rifle rimfire cartridges.  220 round Broadwell drum magazine, the top unscrews for loading.  All the major parts and many of the small parts stamped with the serial # “15”.  Near mint condition, I’d call it 98%, showing only minor signs of wear or handling, except for some expected age patina to the brass, one wheel rim has a solder joint that has failed, and two missing brass split rings which attach the chains to the gun on the left side.  I will try to find some split rings & remedy that issue.  This is the fourth one of these I’ve had the pleasure to offer for sale in the last 20 years.  A rare opportunity to own very rare shooting Gatling gun in .22 long rifle rimfire & made by the premier maker of Gatling guns in the world.  Furr Gatlings are just beautifully made & finished, & they work like a Singer sewing machine.  A plus is that the .22 long rifle ammunition is much cheaper to shoot than the .22 short rimfire ammunition that the 1/3 scale Furr Gatlings use.  I guarantee shooting one of these will be the most fun you’ve ever had with your clothes on!!!  Call to discuss delivery options & cost.  This Gatling is fairly large, & heavy!  Stock # JB-01.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
