High polished blue finish with the exception of the barrel, trigger, and hammer sides which are finished in the white. Standard staked Colt front sight with a dovetailed rear sight. The rear of the slide serrated on both sides. Checkered hammer spur, slide release, magazine release, and thumb safety. The left side of the slide marked “PATENTED APR 20 1897 SEPT 19 1902, (Rampant Colt logo) COLTS PT F A CO, DEC 19 1905 AUG 19 1913 (Same Rampant Colt logo) HARTFORD CT U S A” in two lines. The right side of the frame between the grip and the slide release pin marked “GOVERNMENT MODEL, C 1 3” in two lines and also marked in front of the slide release pin “D KUCER”. The hinged top casing is made of what I believe is cocobolo wood, and has a full length hinge with a checkered oval push button latch.
