Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/3 scale Ruger MK-1 .22 long rifle rimfire caliber semi-automatic pistol made by master miniaturist David Kucer of Montreal, Canada. 2 15/16″ long overall with a 1 19/32″ barrel of .066 caliber. Machined steel construction. Black blue finished except for the bolt & trigger, which are finished in the white, and the bottom of the magazine which is nickel plated. Two piece black plastic grips with two retaining screws on each side. The left grip with the red winged bird Ruger emblem. Fully functional but non-firing. Fixed blade type front sight. Dovetailed windage adjustable rear sight. The bottom rear of the barrel marked “D. KUCER”. The left rear of the receiver marked “STURM RUGER & CO., SOUTHPORT CONN USA” in two lines. The left front of the receiver marked “0012”. The right side of the receiver marked “RUGER” in large letters, then “.22 CAL. LONG RIFLE, AUTOMATIC PISTOL” in smaller letters in two lines. Complete with the original Ruger style “Salt Cod” sliding top wood box and the original instructions. It is my understanding that these were commissioned by the Ruger Collectors Assn., or maybe Bill Ruger himself, in a limited edition of 12 pieces. They also commissioned a Ruger “Hawkeye” target pistol. Near mint condition showing only minor signs of handling. This is the first one of these I have had the pleasure to offer for sale in many years. Beautiful workmanship and one of my favorite Kucer miniatures. Stock # SAR-2. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
