Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/3 scale Colt 1911 semi-automatic pistol with original case made by master miniature maker David Kucer of Montreal, Canada. 2 7/8″ long overall with a 1 3/16″ rifled barrel of about .15 caliber. High polished blue finish with the exception of the barrel which is finished in the white. Standard staked Colt front sight with a dovetailed “U” notch rear sight. The rear of the slide serrated on both sides. Checkered hammer spur, slide release, magazine release, Mainspring bushing, and thumb safety. The left side of the slide marked “MANUFACTURED BY, NORTH AMERICAN ARMS CO. LIMITED, QUEBEC, CANADA” in three lines. The bottom front of the frame marked “D KUCER”. I can not find a serial number, and believe this may be the only Colt 1911 Mr. Kucer made with these markings as I have never seen another. Straight mainspring housing without the lanyard loop on the bottom. Double diamond checkered walnut grips with two screws on each side. Blued steel magazine with a lanyard loop on the bottom and the magazine follower finished in the white. The hinged top case is made of walnut with finger jointed corners, and a key lock. WARNING: The case lid locks upon closing, so don’t lock the key inside the case!!!!! The case interior is French fit and lined in a dark red felt. The top right front corner of the case top inlaid with the typical oval Kucer coat of arms brass escutcheon. The case bottom has a printed biography of David Kucer by Joseph Maewicz, contributing editor to Gun Week Magazine, but is so tiny & poorly printed that it is difficult to read. A beautiful piece in near mint new condition. Stock # RC-39. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
