!!!!!SOLD!!!!! Daniel Osterman “Shivley Of Philadelpia” 1/3 Scale Bowie Knife With Checkered Ivory Handles & Original Walnut Coffin Case !!!!!SOLD!!!!!

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/3 scale Shively of Philadelphia Bowie knife made by master miniature maker Daniel Osterman of Junction City, Oregon, probably about 40 years ago.  15/16″ long overall with a 3 1/2″ steel blade.  The left side of the blade marked “D.E.O. +”, in script.  Two piece checkered ivory handles held in place by three copper pins.  The outer pins with copper escutcheons & the inner pin with nickel silver escutcheons.  Nickel silver guard.  Complete with the original Osterman walnut hinged top coffin shaped case with wood integral walnut hinge & push button latch.  The interior French fit & lined in a a dark red felt.  The bottom with a ribbon dust ledge around the knife.  The top of the case with an inlaid German silver escutcheon with scalloped corners.  This is an exact miniature of the Full size Bowie knife shown on page 100 – 101 of  “The Antique Bowie Knife Book by Adams, Voyles, & Moss”.  It’s been a while since I’m had any Osterman knives for sale, & they don’t last long!  Mint new condition.  Stock # CK-206.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
