Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/3 scale Michael Price San Francisco style Bowie knife made by master miniature maker Daniel Osterman of Oregon. 4 3/16″ long overall in the scabbard. The knife itself is 4″ long overall with a 2 1/8″ spear point blade. The left side of the blade marked D.E.O.+ near the handle. No crossguard. The handle scales are ivory with an 18K gold shield and nine 18K gold pins on each side. The outer edges of the handle are engraved sterling silver. The sterling silver scabbard is engraved on both sides, the front side with an engraved woodland scene of a hunter with a rifle shooting at a stag. The back side of the scabbard with a sterling silver belt hook. Complete with the original Osterman hinged top casing with really neat German silver hinges that Dan made, and a push button latch. The wood looks like maple, but is unbelievably heavy, like it is lined with lead bars!!! The case top with an oval German silver escutcheon. In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful miniature knives Daniel ever made, & if no one buys it, I won’t mind adding it to my small personal collection. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
