!!!!!SOLD!!!!! Daniel Osterman 1/3 Scale Will & Finck San Francisco Style Bowie Knife With Beautiful Ivory Handle, Silver Sheath, & Case !!!!!SOLD!!!!!

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/3 scale Will & Finck San Francisco style Bowie knife made by master miniature maker Daniel Osterman of Oregon.  3 5/8″ long overall in the scabbard.  The knife itself is 3 1/4″ long overall with a 1 5/8″ spear point double edged blade.  One side of the blade marked D.E.O.+ near the handle.  There is a very small brass guard.  The handle is ivory with an absolutely gorgeous aged patina & grain!    The back side of the scabbard with a silver belt hook & the scabbard throat & ball tip are brass .  Complete with the original Osterman hinged top casing with really neat hand made German silver hinges that Dan made, and a likewise Osterman hand made push button latch.  The case wood looks like maple, but is unbelievably heavy, like it is lined with lead bars!!!  The case top with a large unmarked oval German silver escutcheon.  A simple yet elegant knife of the California gold rush period.  This miniature was patterned after the full size original Will & Finck Bowie featured on page 498 – 499 of “The Antique Bowie Knife Book” by Adams, Voyles, & Moss published in 1990.  Stock # CK-210.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
