Project Description

!!!!!PRICE REDUCED!!!!!  Although at first glance this might look like a Tippmann 1/2 scale .22 long rifle rimfire caliber Maxim water cooled machine gun, a prototype or something, it is actually a non-functional Chinese made model, and Tippmann never made a Maxim.  These came into the country about 25 years ago, and I remember buying them when I worked for Imperial Miniature Armory.  There were some other models also: a Browning 1919 A4 air cooled .30 caliber, a Browning 1917 water cooled .30 caliber, and a M2-HB “Ma Deuce” .50 caliber Browning.  24″ long overall including the tripod and 12″ wide at the front of the tripod.  The gun itself is 18 9/16″ long including the spade grips & flash hider, the barrel is 10 3/4″ long including the flash hider.  All steel construction except for the brass plated elevation adjusting knob.  This model looks really good on the outside.  The sights, the tripod, and the  traverse & elevation mechanisms are really well made and accurate.  The tripod on this Maxim model much more complex that the tripods on the Browning models.  The down side is there are no internal parts.  The top cover doesn’t even open.  Includes a green cloth cartridge belt with four solid brass dummy cartridges for display purposes.  No markings.  Near mint condition with just a few minor small spots of surface rust which I have cleaned & oiled.  Makes a nice decoration in the gun room if you can’t afford a $7.5K Tippmann!!!!  Price Reduced:  $500.00.
