Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale 1865 American Arms Co. type swivel barrel two shot derringer built from a kit supplied by Charlie Williams company Wemco-Williams. Mr. Williams calls this the “Riverboat Gambler” kit guns series, Bonsai Division Wesson Type Two Shot — Miniature. The original illustrated parts list is included & is dated 10/1997. This kit was purchased & finished by recently passed MAS member Bruce Feinberg many years ago. 2 3/8″ long overall with a 1 1/16″ barrel group. Most of the parts are steel, the barrel with a blue finish. The remaining steel parts are in the white. The hammer has both half & full cock, & the hammer must be brought to half cock to swivel the barrels, or you risk breaking or bending the firing pin on the hammer. The barrels are chambered for the thick rim 2mm rimfire blank cartridges. There is a rectangular button just forward of the trigger that when depressed releases the barrel group to swivel for loading & removing spent cartridges. There is a machined flute on both sides between the barrels, & each barrel has an integral front sight. Two piece walnut grips with brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side. No visible markings. Original as built condition. The barrel blue about 95%, with wear on the sharp edges. Stock # JT-5. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
