This is a 1/2 scale Remington Model 1895 over/under .41 caliber rimfire derringer by master miniature maker Carmen Gianforte of Tennessee. The derringer has been modestly gold wire inlaid and extensively engraved by master engraver Roger Sampson of Minnesota. Roger is my “go to” engraver for miniatures, but I did not commission this piece. This miniature is almost the equal of one I sold a couple months back that I did commission roger to engrave, which sold for $6,500.00! The quality of the gold wire inlays and engraving is just superb, my photos in no way do this piece justice!!! The grips are two piece ivory made by Dennis Holland of Texas, and have brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side. The right grip is smooth, the left grip depicts an attractive large breasted scantily clad woman. 2 1/2″ long overall with 1 1/2″ barrels of .197 caliber. All machined steel construction, the frame and barrels machined from steel castings. Fully functional including the articulated firing pin. Doug Turnbull in New York did the final polish, gold plating, and blued finishes. The frame, barrel, small parts, screws are a beautiful deep charcoal blue. The frame is 22 karat gold plated. The top of the barrel properly marked with the Remington Ilion, N.Y. barrel address. Includes a custom made walnut hinged top casing, the case top computer 3-D routed with an image of this exact miniature, including the attractive large breasted scantily clad woman! The interior semi-French fit & lined in a red felt. A beautiful piece & sure to be a hit with your friends!!! Mint condition. Stock # TP-14. Price: $4,950.00.
