Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 2mm pinfire pistol made by noted miniature maker Bob Urso of Washington state, author of the ultimate reference on Berloque and 2mm pinfire miniatures, The Tiniest Guns. He calls this model the underhammer boot pistol. Description from Bob’s website, used with permission. “1-13/16” OAL This is a faithful miniature of the underhammer boot pistols, manufactured circa 1830 to 1860. The pointed, oblique grips are typical of those made in the New England area by makers such as Hale, Jenison, Ruggles, and others. For the most part the underhammer pistols were single shot percussion pistols. My version has been modified to fire a 2mm pinfire cartridge. In the parts photo shown below, you can see the bottom of the barrel with it’s slot for the cartridge pin. When the cartridge is inserted, and the barrel screwed on to the frame, the pin points down. Rosewood grips. Serial # 5 stamped into the bottom of the barrel just forward of the hammer. Complete with the original black plastic lift top case with clear plastic top & French fit green foam insert. The bottom with the usual Urso label marked Serial # 5. Stock # CK-276. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
