Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!! This is a 1/4 scale side by side double barrel hammer shotgun that was put out by Benelli in Italy as a promotional item about 25 years ago. 13 1/4″ long overall with 7 15/16″ barrels of about .20 caliber. Blued steel barrels, triggerguard, and breech opening lever. The frame & sideplates are made in two halves, and are finished in the white as are the hammers and triggers. The lever opens the breech. Both hammers cock and fire by pulling the triggers. There are no firing pins, and the extractor is not functional. The triggerguard tang marked “1/100”. The table of the action, the part covered by the barrels and then exposed when the action is opened, is stamped “144”. Supposedly only 100 of these were made, so I can’t explain the “144”! This little miniature is much heavier than you would think just looking at it. Figured walnut forearm and buttstock. The buttstock has been broken and repaired in two places on the right side, one place at the rear of the lockplate where the small sliver of wood goes under the lockplate, the other about an inch behind the lockplate. They have been repaired and are not glaringly obvious, and with a little work, could be made near invisible. Priced accordingly. This is the first one of these I’ve been able to offer for sale in well over 10 years. Stock # ES-29. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
