Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is an extremely rare antique double action only percussion revolver with folding trigger, engraved, with engraved gold grips.  Probably made in the 1850’s – 1870’s in France or Belgium.  2 1/8″ long overall with a 5/8″ part octagon part round barrel of .08 caliber.  The revolver is double action only, and works perfectly, cocking and releasing the hammer as the trigger is pulled.  Note that there is no hammer spur, and it was made that way.  The trigger is hinged and folds upward.  The frame, barrel lug, cylinder, hammer, and trigger plate are engraved steel.  The two piece grips with a single screw entering from the left side look to be gold, and are beautifully engraved.  There is a lanyard stud on the butt for a hanging ring.  The steel is a patina gray/brown.  There is some considerable rust erosion on the cylinder from lack of proper cleaning or poor storage. The grips are excellent.   This is the first piece like this I have ever seen, and I can find no photos or references in my extensive miniature firearms library.  A previously unknown type of miniature revolver.  Stock # TDM-01.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
