!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a cased pair of antique folding trigger, screw off barrel, center hammer, engraved muff pistols with ivory grips by an unknown maker, probably in Belgium in the late 1800’s. Each pistol is 1 5/8″ long overall with a 17/32″ barrel of about .100 caliber. Both pistols are very identically and nicely engraved, with about 80% coverage. The muzzle of the barrels with what looks like rifling, but is actually an internal octagon shaped star that is for inserting a square barrel wrench to unscrew the barrels. Both pistols have hanging rings on the top of the upper rear tang so they could be worn as a pendant on a necklace of used as a watch fob. One pistol is silver plated, the silver with a pleasing silver gray patina. The other pistol is gold plated and shows about 75% of the original plating, the balance a pleasing silver gray. Both pistols have one piece ivory grips. The grip on the gold pistol showing lots of aged yellowish grain. Complete with an antique tortoise shell clam shell hinged casing with push button latch. The interior has been poorly relined, and the hinge is broken. Stock #’s CW-505 & CW-506. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
