!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is an antique miniature ivory stocked Japanese Netsuke matchlock pistol by an unknown maker.  2 1/4″ long overall with a 1 1/4″ octagon part octagon part round steel barrel of .112 caliber.  Steel barrel, pan, hammer, & hammer catch, the balance of the metal parts look to be silver or German silver.  The hammer is spring loaded, and the barrel is bored through to the touch hole.  The hammer cocks, & trips when the trigger is pulled.  Beautiful ivory stock showing a nice aged patina & three small age cracks.  The cracks to not structurally affect the stock.  There is some pitting on the pan next to the barrel giving evidence that this piece has been fired in the past.  The barrel is decorated with a series of 5 point stars & dots inside a cross hatch pattern of lines.  The muzzle also decorated with lines radiating from the muzzle along with 5 point stars & dots.  The barrel, & hammer showing a nice smooth steel gray patina.  The silver or German silver also showing a nice aged patina.  A beautiful little piece!  Stock # BF-42.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
