Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is an antique miniature copper & brass bugle by an unknown maker. 5 9/16″ long overall with a 1 7/8″ bell. The body of the bugle is copper. The edge of the bell, the coupler at the bottom, the mouthpioece reinforcement, the mouthpiece chain fixture and chain are yellow brass. the mouthpiece looks to be nickeled steel and is 7/8″ in outside diameter with a rather deep cup. A brass chain secures the mouthpiece to the bugle so it is not lost. The mouthpiece is stuck, but can easily be removed by most music stores that service band instruments. No markings. I was told this was actually used by the British cavalry as a signal bugle, but can’t confirm that. Beautiful condition with only a couple very minor dents, and a very pleasing aged patina to the copper & brass. Price: $300.00. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
