Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a miniature double barrel percussion shotgun made in Belgium in 1924. 15 3/8″ long overall with 7 1/2″ barrels. 6 3/4″ length of pull from the front trigger. Beautiful Damascus barrels with engraving and silver wire inlays near the case colored hook breech. Case colored and engraved top tang. The top rib with an oval that is silver inlaid “DAMASCO FINO” which translates to fine Damascus. Brass bead front sight. The lock plates and hammers are engraved and case colored, both locks with a high relief silver dog inlaid in front of the hammers. Finely checkered hammer spurs. Typical double triggers. The triggerguard and forearm cap finely checkered and blued. Blue unadorned buttplate. An engraved nickel plated patchbox is inlaid into the right side of the buttstock . Straight grained walnut one piece stock with very finely checkered wrist and forearm, with some carving on the knob of the grip. There is a single sling swivel eye on the bottom of the forearm that when unscrewed releases the barrels. The bottom of both barrels with Belgium proof marks, the date 1924, and other markings that I can’t decypher. Beautiful condition showing 99% Damascus on the barrels, 99% case colors on the breach, lock plates, and hammers, 98% blue on the triggerguard, triggers, forearm cap, and buttplate. The stock about 95% with some minor bruising to the checkering on the forearm. The only flaw is the ramrod was missing, so I have had Larry Smith make a replacement. It is hickory with a buffalo horn tip. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
