Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is an antique six shot 2mm pinfire ladies’ ring gun by an unknown maker, probably made in France or Belgium in the 1860’s to 1880’s.  The ring looks to be silver, but shows no hallmarks.  The back side of the ring engraved “LA FEMME FATALE” along with some vine & leaf engraving.  The balance of the parts are fire blued steel.  The interior of the ring measures .632.  The cylinder measures .293 tall X .447 in diameter.  Complete with an extra cylinder, the original burgundy leather hinged top casing with push button latch, & a small screwdriver for removing the cylinder and cylinder stop for loading.  The cylinder is rotated manually and there is a distinct stop or click when it lock into place.  There are holes for 12 – 2mm pinfire cartridges, and 12 2mm pinfire blank cartridges are included.  The case interior bottom is French fit and lined in a dark blue velvet.  The case interior lid lined in a lighter blue  silk, and marked in gold letters “J. H. PROFFITT, (the second line is smaller print & illegible), 145 & 147 GT MOON ST, BOLTON” in four lines.  Near mint condition showing only very minor blue wear to the sharp edges and a light drag line from the cylinder stop.  The case showing typical wear for it’s age with only minor wear to the case corners and edges.  I am including a small clear plastic vial with an additional 13 2mm pinfire blank cartridges.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
