Albert Osterman 1/3 Scale Stanley Rule Company Iron Smooth Plane, Circa 1870 – 1921

This is a 1/3 scale Stanley Rule Company iron smooth plane, circa 1870 – 1921 made by Albert Osterman.  5 1/16″ long X 1″ wide X 2 1/8″ tall including the handle.  The base of the plane looks to be maple.  The handle & forward knob look to be walnut.  There is an iron frame that sits atop the maple block with a black enamel finish.  The blade assembly is several pieces of nicely polished steel.  There is a knurled brass adjustment knob behind the blade assembly.  The front of the maple block is stamped “A.M.O.”.  It’s well over 10 years since I’ve been able to offer one of these.  Near mint as made condition.  Stock # CK-201.  Price:  $500.00.
