Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a consecutive numbered pair of 47% scale Colt single action army “Classic Edition” revolvers Model of 1873 as issued by the United States Historical Society back in the 1980’s.  All of these have serial number “1” stamped into the frame, triggerguard, & backstrap. This is because this is an exact miniature of serial # 1 Colt SAA. The actual serial numbers, 681 & 682, are stamped into the cylinder pin boss just below the cylinder pin, on the rear of the cylinder, & on the loading gate hinge. 6 1/8″ long overall with a 3 7/16″ long rifled barrel. Fully functional, but non-firing. Typical of the early Colt SAA’s, this has the “pinched” frame sight, the round “Bullseye” ejector rod button, and the cylinder pin retained by a screw. The top of the barrel is roll stamped with the single line Colt “Italics” barrel address. The left front of the frame roll stamped with the Colt patents in two lines. The left rear of the triggerguard stamped with the “.45 CAL” caliber markings. Checkered hammer spur. As per the originals, the frame, hammer, and loading gate are color case hardened. The balance of the steel parts are a beautiful high polish black blue. Nickel silver front sight. Very nicely figured select rosewood one piece grips.  Both are complete with the original USHS mahogany hinged top casing with slide latch. The Colt logo stamped into the right front corner of the top. The interior French fit with a dark forest green velour lining and includes the typical USHS “Classic Edition” brass plaque which reads “No. 1 SINGLE ACTION ARMY, CLASSIC EDITION, COLT FIREARMS, UNITED STATES HISTORICAL SOCIETY” in four lines.  The revolvers are in mint new pristine condition with no signs of handling, & no cylinder drag mark.   Also includes both miniature Colt factory letters, both certificates of authenticity, other original documents, & the original manila bottom with brown top lift top cardboard boxes.  Photos are of these exact miniatures.  The revolvers were made by Uberti in Italy, for the U.S. Historical Society, under license from Colt.  Mint new condition.  I have never seen a consecutive numbered pair of any USHS revolver, much less a pair with all of the original factory paperwork!  If you really need more photos, let me know, but they look just like every other Uberti/USHS revolver!  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
