Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/3 scale LeMatt 10 shot single action percussion revolver by an unknown maker. This is a 9 shot revolver with a single shot shotgun barrel in the middle of the cylinder. 4 3/8″ long overall, with a 2 5/32″ octagon pistol barrel, and a 1 9/16 round shotgun barrel. The steel parts are blued except for the hammer, trigger, rammer assembly, grip screw, and grip escutcheons, which are finished in the white. Two piece checkered walnut grips. The bottom of the grip with a hole for a lanyard. The nose of the hammer flips down to change between firing the revolver cylinder and the shotgun barrel. The backstrap is marked with the number 8 under the grips and both grips are marked with an 8 as well. Dovetailed front sight. Fully functional and extremely well made! Included is a nice generic walnut hinged top casing with magnetic latches. The bottom interior French fit in a russet suede. The interior lid unlined. Mint “as new” condition. The sides of the hammer have some old dried oil on the sides that I failed to clean off before I took the photos. These were used, primarily by the South, during the Civil War, and was a favorite of officers and those who could afford to purchase their own arms. Stock # LC-1, !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
