Project Description

This is a 47% scale miniature Colt single action army revolver Model of 1873 with 7 1/2 inch barrel made by Uberti in Italy.  Also known as the “Peacemaker” and “Frontier Six Shooter”.  Fully functional, but non-firing.  6″ long overall with a 3 7/16″ rifled barrel of .21 caliber. Features include charcoal blue & case colored finish, black powder frame with the round “Bullseye” ejector rod button, cylinder pin retained by a screw, and the rare later style standard Colt topstrap, not the early Colt pinched frame topstrap. The triggerguard is stamped 45 CAL on the left side just behind the trigger. No patent date markings on the frame which is very unusual.  Very early serial number 122 stamped into the frame, trigger guard, backstrap, & loading gate hinge. No Uberti markings on the bottom of the barrel.  The barrel is open & without the usual blind pinned plug.  The top of the barrel with the factory roll stamped italics one line barrel address.  Checkered hammer spur.  Nickel silver blade type front sight.  Highly figured one piece walnut grip with a glossy piano type finish.  It is possible that this is a very early prototype that eventually led to the U.S. Historical Miniature Colts made by Uberti.  There are some finish blemishes on the backstrap where the thinning blue is starting to turn a plum color, otherwise near mint condition.  A rare very early example of the Uberti Colt SAA, and the earliest serial number I have ever seen in over 25 years in the hobby!  Price:  $850.00.
