!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 47% scale Engraved & Gold Wire Inlaid “Prestige Edition” Colt Whitneyville Hartford Dragoon by the renown A. Uberti in Italy. The Whitneyville-Hartford Dragoons are a transition model between the Colt Walkers and the First Model Dragoons, and differ from the first model Dragoons in the angle where the triggerguard meets the grips, and the fact that they have only one safety pin on the back of the cylinder. 6 1/2″ long overall with a 3 1/2″ part round part octagon rifled barrel of .21 caliber. Charcoal blue and case colored finish. Profusely engraved and gold wire inlaid, these Prestige Edition revolvers were the most embellished and the very best that Uberti ever offered, and are quite rare. I’d guess there are no more than a half dozen of these Prestige edition Colt Dragoons were ever made, as the Colt Dragoons were the last miniatures produced by Uberti at the very tail end of their miniature production. This is only the third of the Prestige Colt Dragoons I have ever seen, in over 25 years in the business. The frame, barrel lug, hammer, triggerguard, backstrap, and loading lever are all engraved. There are gold wire inlays at the muzzle of the barrel, outlining the barrel lug, frame, recoil shield, hammer, loading lever, and backstrap. The quality of the engraving and gold inlay are absolutely fantastic! Beautifully figured one piece rosewood grip. The cylinder with the standard Ormsby Texas Rangers and Indians Battle roll marked cylinder scene, plus the nipple cutouts and cylinder stops are outlined in gold wire. Serial number 85 stamped into the bottom of the frame, barrel, triggerguard, and backstrap. The underside of the barrel marked “A. UBERTI ITALY”. Complete with a beautiful highly figured burl walnut hinged top casing with magnetic latches. The top of the case with a high relief carved likeness of the revolver inside in an oval depression. The interior English fit and lined in a dark rose/plum felt. Accessories include a dragoon size brass powder flask with the ball compartment in the top, a combination nipple wrench/ screwdriver, mainspring vice tool, a blue steel three legged bullet mold that cast a single conical ball, a three piece brass oiler, and the loading instructions label on the interior lid. The front bottom of the case laser engraved in fancy lettering “Joel Morrow”. The revolver set remains in perfect mint condition. An extremely rare and beautiful Uberti miniature Colt!!! From the personal miniature collection of Joel Morrow. Stock # JM-24. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
