Project Description

This is a 47% scale miniature Colt single action army revolver Model of 1873 with 5 1/2 inch barrel made by Uberti in Italy.  Also known as the “Peacemaker” and “Frontier Six Shooter”.  Fully functional, but non-firing.  I call this an “Engraver’s Special” because the frame and hammer have not been hardened making them much easier to engrave.  The perfect platform to duplicate your full size engraved Colt SAA.  5 1/8″ long overall with a 2 9/16″ rifled barrel of .21 caliber. Features include finish in the white, smokeless powder frame with the oval ejector rod button, cylinder pin retained by a spring loaded plunger, and the early “Pinched Frame” topstrap.  The triggerguard is stamped 45 CAL on the left side just behind the trigger. The frame stamped with the two patent dates on the left side. Very early serial number 650 stamped into the frame, trigger guard, the bottom of the backstrap, & the rear of the cylinder.  No numbers stamped into the loading gate hinge.  The top of the barrel laser engraved, (by me when I worked for Joel), with the proper one line Colt italics barrel address.  The bottom of the barrel stamped with the early “A. UBERTI FECIT” marking.  Checkered hammer spur.  Nickel silver blade type front sight.  Nicely figured one piece dark walnut grip with an oil finish.  This piece is in mint new condition.  From the personal miniature collection of Joel Morrow.  Stock # JM-35.  Price:  $750.00.
