This is a rare 47% scale miniature Colt single action army “Buntline” revolver Model of 1873 with 7 1/2 inch barrel, instead of the normal 12″ or 16″ barrel, made by Uberti in Italy. Fully functional, but non-firing. 6″ long overall with a 3 7/16″ rifled barrel of .21 caliber. Features include blue & case colored finish, “Buntline” black powder frame with the round “Bullseye” ejector rod button, cylinder pin retained by a screw, and the early style “Pinched Frame” topstrap. The “Buntline frame has a flat top with a long range elevator pivoting rear sight. The Uberti “Buntline” revolvers typically had the miniature equivalent of a 12″ or a 16″ barrel. This is the only one I have ever seen with a 7 1/2″ barrel, and is possibly a one-of-a-kind Uberti Colt SAA! The triggerguard is stamped 45 CAL on the left side just behind the trigger. The two patent date markings on the left front of the frame. Extremely early serial number 22 stamped into the frame & trigger guard, the bottom of the backstrap, & the loading gate hinge. The top of the barrel with the factory roll stamped Colt italics one line barrel address. The bottom of the barrel with no Uberti markings and the number “1” factory stamped near the frame just ahead of the cylinder pin. I have no idea why, or what that means. Checkered hammer spur. Blue blade type front sight. Nicely figured dark one piece walnut grip with a satin finish. Mint new condition except the sliding elevator piece for the rear sight is missing. Still an extremely rare Uberti Colt SAA variation. Priced accordingly. From the personal miniature collection of Joel Morrow. Stock # JM-34. Price Reduced: $750.00.
