This is a 47% scale Colt Whitneyville-Hartford Dragoon percussion six shot revolver by Uberti in Italy. The Whitneyville-Hartford Dragoons are a transition model between the Colt Walkers and the First Model Dragoons, and differ from the first model Dragoons in the angle where the triggerguard meets the grips, and the fact that they have only one safety pin on the back of the cylinder. 6 1/2″ long overall with a 3 1/2″ part round part octagon rifled barrel of .21 caliber. Fully functional. Blue and case colored finish. Nice one piece ivory grip by master ivory carver Dennis Holland of Texas showing a nice grain and aged patina. The cylinder with the standard Ormsby Texas Rangers and Indians battle roll marked cylinder scene. Serial number 44 stamped into the bottom of the frame, barrel, triggerguard, and backstrap. I think that’s cool considering the caliber on these revolvers is .44! The underside of the barrel marked “A. UBERTI ITALY”. Mint new 99+% condition. These Dragoons were made by Uberti near the very end of their miniature production with less than 100 ever made! From the personal miniature collection of Joel Morrow. Stock # JM-36. Price Reduced: $1,250.00.
