Project Description

!!!!!NOT FOR SALE!!!!!

This is a 47% scale Colt 1851 Navy percussion revolver made by Uberti in Italy.  Fully functional, but non-firing. 6 1/4″ long overall with a 3 1/2″ octagon rifled barrel of .17 caliber. The frame, hammer, rammer, and loading lever are case colored. The balance of the steel parts are blued. The brass triggerguard, backstrap, and bead front sight are just starting to show a nice touch of age patina.  The bottom of the barrel marked “A. UBERTI – ITALY”.  .36 CAL marked at the left rear of the triggerguard. The cylinder roll stamped with the Ormsby naval battle scene. Serial number 627 stamped into the bottom of the barrel lug, frame, triggerguard, & backstrap.  Checkered hammer spur and loading lever latch.  Straight grained walnut one piece grip with an oil finish.  Mint new condition.

I supplied this miniature percussion Colt 1851 Navy revolver, and Ernie Emrich of New Jersey did the cartridge conversion for me as a gift, for my small personal collection.  These in full size would have been converted to shoot 38 caliber rimfire ammunition.  This miniature is now fully functional & chambered to shoot the 4mm rimfire blank cartridges.  I supplied Werner with a deluxe oak key lock casing with brass corners and a lifting ring for another revolver, which he totally refit & relined to fit my new revolver.  He really did it up right with a brass plaque on the interior bottom, a COA in the interior lid, and instructions on the bottom of the case.  You can see the before photos farther down after the instructions label photo.
