This is a 1/2 scale BelMex 2mm rimfire single shot derringer pistol by the legendary Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico, probably made from the mid 1940’s to mid 1960’s. 2 3/16″ long overall with a 1 1/4″ barrel of about .075 caliber. Fire blue finish except for the trigger & hammer which are case colored, the sides of both polished in the white. Two piece walnut grips with yellow brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side. Serrated hammer spur & trigger. Complete with the original Weston red hinged top clam shell cardboard box with push button latch. The outside of the box covered in red felt. The interior bottom lined in a green velour with 2 loops, one for the barrel and one for the pill capsule (not included) of 2mm rimfire blank cartridges. The interior lid lined in an off white silk, and marked “WESTON REFORMA, REFORMA No. 157, MEXICO 5 D.F., MODELO Cal., BELMEX 2mm” in five lines. This is only the second time I have seen this exact interior lid label. Also includes the original twisted wire handle cleaning brush. The pistol shows 95% thinning original fire blue, and shows no signs of having been shot. The box is near mint condition showing the most minor traces of wear to the edges & corners. Price: $650.00.
