This is a cased pair of antique
miniature drop trigger, screw off barrel, percussion box lock muff pistols, reportedly made by Caron of Paris in the 1850's.
Each pistol measures 1.56" long overall with a .389" cannon muzzle damascus barrel of .094 caliber. The barrels
were probably originally a bright fire blue, but have faded to a pleasing smooth gray patina. Both pistols are fully
functional and intended to shoot. The hammers have both half and full cock. The frame sides, top & bottom
tangs, hammer, and trigger are nicely engraved and nickel plated. The hammer in the well known fish or dolphin shape,
with both hammers having a small hole in the tail area, probably for hanging. What is extremely unusual are the one
piece genuine mother of pearl grips. I have never seen one of these with MOP grips, and there are none shown in any
of my miniature firearms reference books including Dr. Cooper's. Included is the original bullet mold with sprue cutter,
barrel wrench, and nipple wrench. The barrel wrench being much more complex than any I have ever seen or seen referenced.
The original hinged top burl walnut casing has two lidded compartments, both with mother of pearl knobs. The larger
compartment contains a large quantity of lead balls, the smaller one containing 10 of the original 1mm percussion caps.
The case interior is French, lined in reed velvet, and may have been relined sometime in the distant past. This piece
was bought from the famous dealer Robert Ables in 1959 for $1,000.00, and has remained in the same family until recently purchased
from the estate by me. The pieces are in near mint overall condition with only some very minor handling marks
and some minor discoloration in a couple of small areas. Photo 2, Photo 3, Photo 4, Photo 5, Photo 6, Photo 7, Photo 8, Photo 9, Photo 10, Photo 11, Photo 12, Photo 13, Photo 14, Photo 15, Photo 16, Photo 17, Photo 18, Photo 19, Photo 20, Photo 21, Photo 22, Photo 23, Photo 24 Price: $6,250.00

This is what I believe to be an undiscovered
Balogh 18K yellow and white gold percussion pistol, as it is not shown or mentioned in Bob Urso's book, The Tiniest Guns".
2.455" long overall with a 1.4" barrel. The stock is 18K yellow gold with finely checkered grip and some additional
checkering on the bottom of the forearm. All other parts are 18K white gold. The action is functional. Unlike
the other Belogh miniatures I have had in the past where the whole triggerguard was pulled to release the hammer, this one
is much more finely made with a functional trigger. Weighs .6 ounces, so with gold at $1,560.00/ounce today, there is
$702.00 worth of gold in this miniature

This is a 1/4 scale Colt Number 3 Thuer single shot derringer made in 14K yellow gold with two piece ivory
grips made by master jeweler Alex Baez. 15/16" long overall with a 15/32" long barrel. This piece is
fully functional and has a functional ejector that will eject the included 6 solid brass dummy cartridges, just
be careful as it will eject them clear across the room! Also includes a cheap clear capsule type case
with clear plastic lid. Has .1 ounce of 14K gold which at today's price of $1,560.00/ounce works out to about $91.00
in gold value. Photo 2, Photo 3, Photo 4, Photo 5, Photo 6, Photo 7, Photo 8, Photo 9 Price: $650.00

This is a 1/4 scale percussion U.S. martial
pistol by an unknown maker. 2.8" long overall with a 1.6" smoothbore barrel of .13 caliber. The lock
assembly, barrel, backstrap, lower tang, and ramrod are steel finished in the white. the triggerguard, buttcap, nosecap,
and sideplate are yellow brass. Functional action and the barrel is drilled through to the nipple. One piece straight
grain walnut stock. Includes a nice hinged top maple casing with push button latch. The interior French for in
red velour with black edging. Also includes an absolutely wonderful 14K gold adjustable powder flash. There
is a recess in the case for what I am sure was the matching 14K gold bullet mold with sprue cutter, but alas, it has been
lost with the years. The mold is a masterpiece of much higher quality in my opinion than the pistol, and I'm am sure
it is by a different maker. There is also a small lidded empty corner compartment in the case. If you have the
mold that fits this case, I'd sure like to buy it! Photo 2, Photo 3, Photo 4, Photo 5, Photo 6, Photo 7, Photo 8, Photo 9, Photo 10, Photo 11, Photo 12 Price: $750.00

This is a 5 shot ring gun in 4mm pinfire made
by an unknown maker. The back side of the ring is hand engraved "THE FIVE ACES". The ring looks to be silver.
The barrel group, hammer, trigger, recoil shield, and spring are fire blued steel. The cylinder measures .565"
in diameter and .445 long. I do not have a ring sizer, but the inside of the ring measures .818. The ring is 1.72"
long overall. The recoil shield is .673 in diameter. Complete with a nice hinged top brown leather case.
The interior French fit and lined in a dark green material. Included with the case are 2 small jeweler's
screwdrivers, one with a brush on the other end, for removing the barrel to load the ring gun. Also included are 2
- 4mm pinfire fired cases. A similar ring gun was featured on the show "Pawn Stars" at an asking price of
$9.5K. The owner was offered $7K which he refused. Another similar ring gun recently sold in the James Julia auction
for over $21K!!!Photo 2, Photo 3, Photo 4, Photo 5, Photo 6, Photo 7, Photo 8, Photo 9, Photo 10, Photo 11, Photo 12, Photo 13, Photo 14, Photo 15 Price: $4,000.00

Well, here's something I've never
seen before! It's a 5 shot ring gun on the Forsyth System. Instead of using the normal 4mm pinfire cartridge,
or being percussion, this one is pellet primed, or a pill lock. A pellet of mercury fulminate is inserted into each
cavity on the back side of the cylinder. A round lead ball of .130 is inserted into each cavity on the circumference
of the cylinder. The pellet of fulminate is both the priming mixture and the powder to fire the ball. The pellet
of fulminate will explode when hit by the hammer. The ring looks to be silver, and is engraved "SYSTEM FORSYTH"
on the back side along with some decorative stem & leaf. The steel parts are fire blued and retain about 85% original
thinning finish. The inside of the ring measures .820. The cylinder is .500 in diameter and .284 long. Uses
the same type trigger release on the side as the 4mm pinfire type ring guns. Includes a hinged top brown leather casing
with hook latches. One hook is missing. The lid inlaid with a silver oval that is engraved "SYSTEM FORSYTH".
The interior French fit and lined in a dark brown felt. There are two compartments, but both are empty. One probably
for the screwdriver to remove the cylinder, the other maybe for the pellets and lead balls. Truly unusual! Photo 2, Photo 3, Photo 4, Photo 5, Photo 6, Photo 7, Photo 8, Photo 9, Photo 10, Photo 11, Photo 12, Photo 13, Photo 14 Price: $4,500.00
