Mignonnette-cap-guns.JPG

These are toy cap guns.  I've ended up with several of them and am hoping someone out there would like to own them.  2.025" long overall with 1.062" barrels.  Look to be made of German silver.  The left side of the frame marked MIGONNETTE, The right side of the frame marked MADE IN ITALY, DEP. in two lines.  Both grips marked MONDIAL.  All show signs of use and having been fired.

$15.00 each

Cork-Mortar-1.JPG

This is a great little bronze mortar that shoots corks!  Precision machined from solid bronze stock, it measures 2 1/4" tall.  The tube measures 1.438 in outside diameter and has a bore of .750.  Comes complete with three corks, a powder scoop, a vent pick, and complete instructions for firing.  The base has four threaded holes so it can be bolted down to a fixed base.  Uses 4f black powder.  You knoiw all those wine corks you've been throwing away, cut them in half and you have two rounds for your cork mortar!

Trap-gun-WD1637-1.JPG

This is a really interesting miniature alarm or trap gun.  5" long overall with a 4" smoothbore barrel of .26 caliber.  The whole piece looks to be made of sterling silver.  How this works is there is a fixed hammer with a flint that rest on a serrated rack "gear".  The gun would be fixed, say to a door frame, by the loop just under the hammer base.  Then a string would be tied from the loop in the rack to the door.  When the door was opened, the string would pull the serrated rack across the flint, making sparks, which would set off the charge in the barrel which is the alarm.  Could be used in a similar fashion to shoot someone who tried to enter the door.  There is a sliding safety collar on the barrel that will slide to cover and uncover the touch hole.  A really cool piece, I have never before seen anything like it!

MB-FL-Martial-Pistol-1615-1.JPG

This is a 1/4 scale French Model 1786 Marine flintlock pistol by an unknown maker.  4" long overall with a 2 1/4" smoothbore barrel of .15 caliber.  Steel parts are finished in the white.  The brass parts with a mice smooth mellow aged patina.  The top rear of the barrel marked with the letters MB.  I don't know who this might be, but it's not Mike Barrett.  One piece walnut stock.  The piece is functional, but the hammer barely catches at cock and the hammer spring is very weak.  Very well made from all external appearances.

Antique-Perc-derr-pair-1.JPG

These are not true miniatures, but are a matched pair of very small full size single shot percussion derringers by an unknown maker.  Both feature a ring in the trigger that would have been used as a lanyard or on a pocket watch chain.  Both measure 2 15/16" long overall with 25/32" smoothbore barrels of .125 caliber.  The steel parts look to have been originally finished in the white and are now a gray/brown patina.  Varnished straight grain one piece walnut stocks.  Both pieces are functional, but on one you need to hold the trigger forward for the hammer to catch, so I guess maybe the trigger spring is broken.
